Since August 1, 2017, all energy efficiency labels imported into the UAE market for household washing machines and dryers, refrigerators and freezers, regenerative water heaters, dishwashers and air conditioners must contain EESL-certified two-dimensional codes with chips. The transitional period of the redesign of the logo is relatively short, and the above five categories of electrical products with the old logo are only allowed to be sold in the UAE market until February 1, 2018.
Specific products and corresponding test standards are as follows:
Household washing machine and dryer, UAE.S 5010-2: 2013;
Household refrigerators and freezers, UAE.S 5010-3: 2013;
Domestic regenerative electric water heater, UAE.S 5010-4:2014;
Household dishwasher, UAE.S 5010-6: 2016;
Household Air Conditioning, Commercial Air Conditioning and Central Air Conditioning, UAE.S 5010-1:2016; UAE.S 5010-5:2016. (The above two standards will come into effect on August 1, 2017. (Controllers for air conditioning to regulate refrigeration temperature must be designed to be no less than 20 degrees Celsius)
