Singapore releases RoHS regulations
On June 1, 2016, Singapore's Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MEMR) issued an amendment to Appendix 2 of the Environmental Protection and Management Act to add six new restrictions on hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products, namely, Singapore RoHS. The bill will take effect in June 1, 2017.
Types of control products: household air conditioning, flat panel television, mobile phones, tablet computers, laptops, refrigerators, washing machines.
Exempt product types: batteries and batteries, products for industrial use only, used products.
