SIRIM certification is the only institution in Malaysia to conduct certification. Any factory or company may apply to SIRIM for review and accreditation in accordance with accepted standards under the product certification system. These certifications are voluntary, but in many cases mandatory certifications are required at the request of government administration.
There are many different kinds of products in Malaysia which need to meet the requirements of IECEE CB system. MS markings and ST markings are voluntary and mandatory safety signs for export to Malaysia.

The following qualifications may be submitted for CB certificate and test report: domestic or foreign manufacturer or agent authorized by manufacturer

Certified product range

The following 31 categories of products are required to undergo mandatory type certification and safety certification: plugs (below 15A), switches and dimmers, sockets (below 15A), fluorescent lamp holders and starters, ceiling light box, Jack holders and multiple adapters, fluorescent lamps (separately) Except for imported lamp tubes, capacitors for fluorescent lamps, fluorescent lamp ballasts, leakage protectors, electric water heaters (including heaters imported separately), hairdryers, desk lamps, liquid heaters, electric irons, electric shavers, food mixers for kitchens, immersion heaters, high fidelity devices, mosquito repellents, bread Furnaces, fans, TV sets, vacuum cleaners, players, washing machines, refrigerators, rice cookers, Christmas lights, household electric tools, wires and cables (cross-sectional area 0.5-35 mm2).
Other products belong to the category of voluntary certification.
The certificate is valid for one year. In order to ensure the renewal of the certificate, annual inspection must be carried out.
