IRAM Safety Mark is the mandatory certification of Argentina (except exempt products). S-Mark mandatory certification is applied to electronic and electrical equipment in the range of AC 50-1000 Vac or DC 50-1500 Vdc.

Argentina is a member of the CB system, CB certificates and reports are recognized, which can save a lot of repeated testing and sending samples. Argentina S-Mark safety certification does not require factory inspections. Applicants should provide Spanish nameplates (including safety warning signs) and user manuals. The logo of the certification authority should be added to the S-Mark logo.

Authentication technology information

1. Argentina voltage is AC220V/50Hz
There are two kinds of 2. plugs, which are divided into earthing Class I and ungrounded ClassII.

Authentication process

1. manufacturers' relevant laboratories (short lab. Lab) initiate oral or written preliminary applications.
2. The applicant fills in the application form and sends the application form, the product specification and the technical documents together to the experiment. The applicant also requests the applicant company to provide a prototype.
3. the laboratory determines the inspection standards and inspection items and quotes.
4. the applicant confirms the offer and sends samples and relevant technical documents to the laboratory.
5. the applicant provides technical documents.
6. The laboratory issues a fee notice to the applicant, and the applicant pays the certification fee according to the fee notice.
7. the lab conducts product tests and reviews technical documents.
8. the technical document review includes:
1) is the document perfect?
2) whether the document is written in official language (English, German or French).
9. if the technical document is incomplete or does not use the required language, the laboratory will notify the applicant to improve it.
10. If the test is not up to standard, the laboratory will promptly and simultaneously allow the applicant to improve the product. So, the designated test is qualified. The applicant should change the timely information in the original application so as to reflect the actual situation after the change.
11. laboratories provide test reports or technical documents and IRAM certification to applicants.
